Mission/Purpose: The Art Club provides students the opportunity to work in a cooperative atmosphere with others who share an interest in creative activity.
Planned Activities: Meets the First and Third Tuesday of the month. Art club will be doing various activities throughout the year. Every year we create ornaments for the faculty and staff of DMS as a Thank you for everything they do, we will have an Art Club logo contest the winning logo will be featured on the Art Club page in the Yearbook as well printed on the Art Club T-Shirts. We will explore various art mediums and have fun with the art process.
Mission/Purpose: The Drama Club is a performance-based club. Students utilize teamwork, acting skills, and public speaking to prepare for after school performances.
Planned Activities: Meets each Wednesday from 8:00am - 8:50am in Ms. Neal's room on Red Hall.

Mission/Purpose: This club is for students interested in exploring the Francophone and Hispanic worlds. We will investigate language and culture, focusing on a different country or festival each month. Enrollment in French or Spanish at any level is not required.

Mission/Purpose: A student-run club, the Impact is a club that provides students the opportunity to share and fellowship with other students who have similar interests. FCA was originally started for students involved in athletics but has expanded to include all students who wish to attend.
Planned Activities: The IMPACT Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 8:15AM in the Lower Gym Fitness Room.
Mission/Purpose: In Mock Trail you will have fun while improving your speaking skills, improving your reading fluency, improving your acting skills, and learning how the legal system works.

Mission/Purpose: Do you love to investigate to find out the effects/impacts of phenomena on outcomes? If so,
Planned Activities: We will develop projects to compete in the DMS schoolwide Science Fair in January. Winners will advance to the regional Science Fair in February. We will meet Thursday mornings starting in September.
Mission/Purpose: To promote reading with students who desire to share their love of reading with others.
Planned Activities: Meets at 8:15am weekly in the Media Center. This is open to 6th – 8th-grade students and they are required to read 15 books. We will attend the GCPS competition at Peachtree Ridge High School. Activities will vary depending upon what the students would like to participate in. Planned activities will include the creation of a favorite book choice poster, PowerPoint slide about the book or video about the book, and the chance to participate in Gwinnett County Readers Rally Quiz Bowl.
Other activities may include lots of discussions about the books and the creation of a book journal record as well as the use of a graphic organizer to record information from the titles read.
