Mission/Purpose: To learn about and gain a better understanding of 3D printing through the creation of fun projects.

Planned Activities: Meetings will take place on Wednesday mornings/afternoons in the Engineering Room (Orange Hall - 7.126). Students will design and create 3D printed objects for fun and for the Falcon's Nest school store.

Mission/Purpose: The Art Club provides students the opportunity to work in a cooperative atmosphere with others who share an interest in creative activity.

Planned Activities: Meets the First and Third Tuesday of the month. Art club will be doing various activities throughout the year. Every year we create ornaments for the faculty and staff of DMS as a thank you for everything they do. We will have an Art Club logo contest and the winning logo will be featured on the Art Club page in the Yearbook as well printed on the Art Club T-Shirts. We will explore various art mediums and have fun with the art process.

Mission/Purpose: The Buddies Club mission is to build friendships, promote inclusion, and create meaningful connections between general education and special needs students through shared experiences. The Buddies Club will meet monthly and plan events throughout the school year. By promoting empathy, understanding, and kindness, we aim to make our school a place where everyone feels valued, respected, and included. #BetterTogether

Planned Activities: Club will meet once monthly in the cafe or Media Center. Meetings will be an opportunity to teach/learn abot "Buddy Basics" including goals of the club, discussing empathy, respect, and inclusion, understanding disabilities which may involve guest speakers, role playing and discussion of responsibilities, sensory awareness, and relationship-building skills. The Buddies will plan and decide on events/activities to possibly include ice cream socials, picnic in the park, arts and crafts day, scavenger hunts, bowling trips, special needs talent shows, and an end-of-year dance.

Mission/Purpose: At Dacula Middle School, our theatre program inspires creativity, confidence, and collaboration by engaging students in meaningful performance and production experiences that build self-expression, teamwork, and a lifelong love for the arts.

Planned Activities: Meets each Wednesday from 8:00am - 8:50am in Ms. Neal's room on Red Hall.

Mission/Purpose: The Engineering Club is a collaborative space where students explore their creativity and problem-solving skills by working on hands-on projects of their own choosing. Members have the freedom to pursue engineering challenges that excite them to learn about and gain a better understanding of design principles.

Planned Activities: Meetings will take place on Wednesday mornings/afternoons in the Engineering Room (Orange Hall - 7.126). Students will work in teams or individually on projects they're interested in, gaining experience in design thinking, prototyping, and teamwork. The club encourages innovation, experimentation, and peer learning, with support from mentors and access to tools and materials. It’s the perfect place for aspiring engineers to bring their ideas to life and learn by doing!

Mission/Purpose: "Falcon Fever" will allow students to have the extended opportunity to show their vocal skills while developing choreography, costumes, and scenery in "show type" performances.

Open to all students whether they are enrolled in chorus or not. Looking for those students that possess a "triple threat" quality.

Planned Activities: Meetings will take place after school Wednesday in the Chorus room (Orange Hall - 7.139) with additional meeting dates being added depending on performances. Students will perform in the community, at our DMS-feeder elementary schools, GCPS Board meetings, local school performances, and at special occasions as scheduled.

Mission/Purpose: This club is for students interested in exploring the Francophone and Hispanic worlds. We will investigate language and culture, focusing on a different country or festival each month. Enrollment in French or Spanish at any level is not required. 

Planned Activities: We will meet monthly starting in September. More details to come as the year shapes up.

Mission/Purpose: Learn to code in Micro Bits and foster a passion for coding and collaboration.

Planned Activities: Students will meet in Mrs. Brown’s room (Peach 10.339) on each 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month. Students will learn how to code using Micro Bits and Block coding. Students will also design projects utilizing the micro bits, makecode, and breadboard. (i.e. create movable robots).

Mission/Purpose: A student-run club, the Impact is a club that provides students the opportunity to share and fellowship with other students who have similar interests. FCA was originally started for students involved in athletics but has expanded to include all students who wish to attend.

Planned Activities: The IMPACT Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 8:15AM in the Lower Gym Fitness Room.

Mission/Purpose: Our mission is to inspire and empower middle school girls to be confident, creative, and community-minded. We offer a safe, supportive space where girls can explore their interests, make new friends, and build essential life skills. We believe in the magic that each brings and work together to foster self-love, leadership, and personal growth.

Planned Activities: We will meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month after school. Activities will include community service projects, game and movie nights, visits from guest speakers, uniqueness celebrations, and much more!

Mission/Purpose: In Mock Trial, our mission is to inspire critical thinking and confidence through simulated experiences with the legal system. Students learn to listen carefully, speak clearly, work as a team, and think like problem-solvers—building skills that serve them in school and beyond.

Planned Activities: We will meet Friday mornings at 8:10 am beginning in September..

Mission/Purpose: To promote reading with students who desire to share their love of reading with others.

Planned Activities: Meets at 8:15am weekly in the Media Center.  This is open to 6th – 8th-grade students and they are required to read 10 books.  We will attend the GCPS competition at Peachtree Ridge High School. Activities will vary depending upon what the students would like to participate in. Planned activities will include reading and discussing books, practicing questions, and the chance to participate in Gwinnett County Readers Rally Quiz Bowl.

Other activities may include lots of discussions about the books and the creation of a book journal record as well as the use of a graphic organizer to record information from the titles read.

Mission/Purpose: The goal of our club is to encourage students, faculty, and staff to build confidence, grow positive interpersonal relationships, model goal setting, and establish healthy habits around movement.

Planned Activities: We will meet once a week in the Spring semester.

Mission/Purpose: Do you love to investigate to find out the effects/impacts of phenomena on outcomes? Are you always asking why in science?  If so, the science fair is for you! 

Planned Activities: We will develop projects to compete in the DMS schoolwide Science Fair in January. Winners will advance to the regional Science Fair in February. We will meet Thursday mornings starting in September.

Mission/Purpose: To create a fun and educational after-school Sewing Club where students can learn basic sewing skills, express their creativity, and develop patience, focus, and enhance their fine motor skills.

Planned Activities: Safety practices; machine terminology/handling; students will create four projects per semester, including a Capstone Project at the end of each semester.  Meet twice per month; every other Tuesday in Ms. Aaron’s classroom (Orange, 7.122)

Mission/Purpose: Provide guidance and direction for students who want to learn how to code.

Planned Activities: Meeting date/time to be announced. Members will participate in programming opportunities and curriculum from Girls Who Code geared towards girls who are interested in coding as well as using VEX Robot programming.
